Lafayette LA Radio: KMDL's Jordy Hultberg Arrested For Domestic Abuse

Shannon Hultberg, estranged wife of KMDL 97.3 The Dawg radio host and former LSU basketball player Jordy Hultberg, posted a statement of thanks on her Facebook page Sunday in the wake of her husband's arrest early Saturday on domestic abuse and simple battery charges.

The Hultbergs are going through a divorce. The arrest report said she accused her husband of grabbing her arms and pushing her into a dresser, and pushing his cousin outside his home.

Jordy Hultberg told the arresting officer he put his hands on the victim only to get her out of the house, and that he did not know about the marks or if he grabbed her chin.

The arrest report said the incident started when the couple's daughter had expressed concern about her father's well-being to her mother who went to Hultberg's house. She found the front door open, entered and saw Hultberg with another woman, who fled to the bathroom.

In her Facebook posting, Shannon Hultberg wrote:

"I would like to say, we love Jordy and ALWAYS will. Jordy IS a good person who has made mistakes. But, I know he is overwhelmingly remorseful and regretful for all of his actions."
