Aussie Radio: KIIS-FM Morning Show Tumbles

Kyle and Jackie O
Some of the gloss appears to be wearing off Kyle Sandilands' crown following a sharp decline in the latest ratings for Sydney's FM radio king, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

Maz Compton, Dan Debuf
Meanwhile, over at struggling rival 2Day FM, there has been a much-needed boost for breakfast duo Dan Debuf and Maz Compton, who may have pulled up from their ratings death spiral just in time before hitting the ground.

Debuf and Compton put on .9 of a point to reach 3.3 in what station owners Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) will hope is an indication listeners are warming to the pair in their new timeslot. SCA is also hoping the return of Hamish Blake and Andy Lee to the national drive slot will significantly boost their fortunes overall.

KIIS1065's Sandilands and sidekick Jackie Henderson lost 1.5 points to subside to 8.6, placing them on level pegging with stablemates Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller (WSFM).

And while one bad ratings result isn't cause to reach for the panic button, this marks the fourth consecutive ratings fall for the high-profile pair, who finished last year on an unassailable 11.3.
