The results of a new study shows Senior executives are actively engaged in the world of podcasts, and their listening habits provide fascinating insights. Signal Hill Insights has released the study which is  focused on whether, and how much, senior executives listen to podcasts. The study is part of an ongoing collaboration with Triton Digital.  Let’s delve into the details:

Listening Habits:

  • Definitive Interest: Senior executives over-index as weekly listeners, often dedicating 5 or more hours to podcasts. Their commitment to regular listening is notable.
  • Earnings Scale: These exec-level listeners are likely to over-index on the earnings scale, making them valuable targets for advertisers.
  • Gender Breakdown: Nearly three-quarters of senior exec listeners are men, compared to 54% of other listeners. This gender disparity is a noteworthy observation.


Preferred Genres: When it comes to podcast genres, senior executives gravitate toward:

  • News
  • Society & Culture
  • Comedy (which includes popular general interview shows).

Why They Listen:

  • Self-Improvement: Executives seek podcasts for personal growth and self-improvement.
