Cumulus Media Releases New 'Your Music First' Installment

Cumulus Media announces the launch today of the ninth installment of its exclusive multi-part audio series, Your Music First, featuring multi-Platinum, CMA award-winning Country artist Jordan Davis and his new single, “Tucson Too Late.” The campaign will air over the next four weeks on Cumulus Media’s Country radio stations across the U.S. and will give Country fans a look at how the single was made, with exclusive behind-the-scenes stories that bring additional dimension and flavor to the music and artist.
Greg Frey, VP of Music Partnerships, Cumulus Media, said: “With “Tucson Too Late,” Jordan Davis extends his string of Country hits with another great example of his expert storytelling and infectious melodies. I’m thrilled to partner with our friends at MCA Nashville on Your Music First to give our listeners unique insight into Jordan’s life and personality through his own words.”

David Friedman, VP/Promotion, MCA Nashville, commented: “We are thrilled to have Jordan Davis’ latest single, ‘Tucson Too Late,’ be selected for the Cumulus Your Music First program. Country radio has always been an integral part and steadfast supporter of Jordan’s career - from his debut single going #1 to being the current reigning CMA Song of the Year winner and a current CMA nominee with six career #1’s. This modern Country classic reinforces Jordan’s versatility and place as the format’s newest superstar, and we are proud to partner with Cumulus on this great opportunity.”

Cumulus Media debuted the high-profile Your Music First campaign in February to highlight new music in a unique way by sharing with radio listeners the thoughts of the biggest stars in different formats in a series of revealing and exclusive vignettes across AC, Alternative, CHR, Country, Hot AC, Rock and Urban formats.

The shows feature artist commentary on the song, with artists presenting different aspects of their song’s personal meaning, the inspiration behind the music, and insights on their life and career.

Previous Your Music First campaigns have featured Valory Music Co. recording artist Thomas Rhett’s “Angels (Don’t Always Have Wings),” Republic Records recording artist Shania Twain’s “Giddy Up!,” Capitol Records Nashville recording artist Darius Rucker’s “Fires Don’t Start Themselves,” Thirty Seconds To Mars’ “Stuck,” Atlantic Records recording artist Janelle MonĂ¡e’s “Lipstick Lover,” Broken Bow Records recording artist Lainey Wilson’s “Watermelon Moonshine,” Warner Music Nashville recording artists Dan + Shay’s “Save Me The Trouble,” and Atlantic Records recording artist Gucci Mane’s “There I Go.”
