Fred Vigeant
He previously served as WITF’s director of programming and promotion beginning in 2012, and spent 12 years at WRVO (89.9) in Oswego, N.Y., including as program director and operations manager.

“Fred understands both the work of public media and the responsibility that comes with leading a station its community trusts,” said WHYY President and CEO Bill Marrazzo.

“I’m excited to join WPSU at an important moment in its 73-year history and to build on its strong tradition of public service,” Vigeant said.

Jeff Hughes will serve as interim general manager during the transition. Jon Widmer remains director of technology, Emily Reddy news director, Jeff Benzing director of content and audience engagement, and Susan Chyzewski director of education, grants and government relations.
