In the spring Nielsen Audio Ratings (April 3-June 25), 98.5 The Sports Hub led the men 25-54 demographic with an 11.6 share, while WEEI ranked seventh with a 4.9 share.
Last spring, The Sports Hub had a stronger 15.4 share, boosted by the Celtics’ championship run, and WEEI was ninth with a 3.6 share. Overall Boston sports radio listenership declined year-over-year, according to Chad Finn at The Boston Globe.

Dayparts:
- In afternoon drive, The Sports Hub’s “Felger and Mazz” topped the charts with a 12.2 share, down significantly from 18.4 last spring, while WEEI’s afternoon show tied for 10th with a 3.1 share. “Felger and Mazz” also saw a winter drop from 19.8 (January-April 2024) to 15.7 this year. A continued ratings slide into the fall, when the Patriots return, could signal trouble for the historically dominant show.
- In mornings, The Sports Hub’s “Toucher and Hardy” secured first place with a 17.7 share, followed by WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” in second with a 7.8.
- In middays, The Sports Hub’s “Zolak and Bertrand” led with a 12.5 share, while WEEI’s “Jones and Keefe” tied for third with a 5.9.From 6-7 p.m., The Sports Hub’s “The Baseball Hour” tied for second with a 7.7 share, while WEEI’s Red Sox pregame tied for 17th with a 1.8.
- At night (7 p.m.-midnight), The Sports Hub, featuring Joe Murray’s show and Celtics/Bruins games, took third with a 6.8 share, while WEEI’s Christian Arcand show and Red Sox broadcasts tied for 10th with a 3.7.
