The MeidasTouch Podcast Reaches 5M Subscribers

The MeidasTouch Podcast, hosted by brothers Ben, Brett, and Jordan Meiselas, is a progressive political commentary show that recently reached 5 million subscribers on YouTube, a milestone announced last week.

Launched in 2020 during the pandemic, the podcast evolved from a group chat among the brothers into a leading voice in independent media, known for its outspoken critiques of Donald Trump and Republican policies while promoting pro-democracy values.

The network, MeidasTouch, has become a digital media powerhouse, garnering 33 million views every 48 hours and surpassing cable news in digital viewership. It has topped podcast charts for months, outpacing shows like Joe Rogan’s, with 107.3 million downloads in April 2025 alone, according to Podscribe data. The podcast features interviews with prominent figures like Gavin Newsom and Letitia James, blending sharp analysis with a conversational, family-like dynamic.

Despite its success, MeidasTouch faces challenges, including threats of lawsuits from Trump, who previously sued the hosts for $500 million.

Critics, like Media Bias/Fact Check, rate it as left-biased with mixed factual reporting due to one-sided content and funding opacity. The brothers aim to expand to 10 million subscribers, continuing their mission to counter authoritarianism and corporate media shortcomings.
