WI Radio: 21 Years Later, WBKY Relocates to New City of License

21 years after the start of what turned into an arduous journey, 95.9-FM WBKY finally moved from Portage, WI to Stoughton-Janesville, WI on April 20, 2024.

Dave Magnum
Dave Magnum stated, “My two sons, Reid and Ty, were just lads when we started this process.  Whenever we reminisce about the umpteen Town and County zoning meetings and hearings, we make sure to have a stout beer in hand.”  Magnum is also carrying WBKY programming on WSJY-FM HD-4.

WSJY HD-4 is re-broadcasting on Madison translator W258CM which operates on 99.5-FM.

Reid Magnum said, “For WBKY we need listeners to remember just two numerals: 9’s and 5’s.  We are so appreciative of everyone who stood with our family over the years.”

The combination of 95.9 and 99.5 provides WBKY with analog vehicle coverage from Arlington to Beloit, plus HD coverage of the Class B signal of WSJY.

WBKY 95.9 FM (2 Kw)

Dave Magnum and his late wife, Lynn, started from scratch in 1991 with a Tomah, WI Construction Permit.  Magnum Media currently operates 22 Wisconsin radio stations and multiple FM translators.
