Boston Radio: Karson & Kennedy Get Multi-Year Deal At WWBX

Audacy Boston has announced multiyear contract extensions with Mix 104.1 (WWBX-FM) morning show co-hosts Karson Tager and Kennedy Elsey. The duo are heard on weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET.

"In December 2008, my wife and I drove into Boston with Kennedy," said Karson. "We had no winter coats, and I had a head full of hair. 16 years later, I'm bald but can finally afford a good winter jacket. God and life are good. We're also very grateful to the entire team behind the scenes for their support."

"I came to Boston with two cats and my two friends excited (and terrified) for something new," said Kennedy. "The cats ran away, but Karson and Lana stuck with me through thick and thin. We are honored to make you laugh every morning. It’s a gift I get to open every day, and I’m so grateful."

About Karson- Karson is a veteran who served as an airborne Paratrooper in the US Army Signal Corps. Karson, his Wife Lana, and their son Barrett live in Charlestown, where they stay deeply involved with several community organizations. Karson has served on the board of the Red Sox Foundation, Charlestown YMCA and was elected to the Charlestown Neighborhood Council in 2014. As for some of Karson's hobbies, you'll probably see him playing basketball in lunchtime pickup games, practicing guitar, or trying to keep up with his son, who likes to play lacrosse, tennis and golf.

About Kennedy- Kennedy grew up in suburban Chicago and graduated from Drake University with a double major in Theater and Psychology. Her career brought her to Boston by way of Tucson, AZ, Tallahassee, FL and Memphis, TN. She uses her time behind a microphone to fight fiercely to stop the stigma that goes hand in hand with mental illness. She is on the board for Samaritans, fosters puppies for Great Dog Rescue New England, and rappels down buildings for the Special Olympics.
