Nashville Radio: Bones Gets A St. Jude Check From Trump

Bobby Bones
Morning personality Bobby Bones has sold Donald Trump his "Make America Great Again" slogan back to him and The Donald provided a donation to St. Jude.

The WSIX 97.9 FM Big98 host had originally filed a trademark application back in August giving him exclusive rights to the slogan "Make American Great Again" which currently is being utilized by the GOP Presidential candidate.

Bones was going to create and market his own line of "Make America Great Again" shirts and hats with proceeds going to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

However, he said he was willing to sell the trademark to Trump in exchange for a one-on-one interview with Trump and a $100,000 donation to St. Jude.

Negotiations have been going back and forth on an ongoing basis.  Thursday afternoon Bones posted a photo saying "So I can't technically say how much this check is for.  But thanks to Donald Trump.  This check goes to St. Jude, and he can have his slogan back."
