Cumulus Awards Dustin Lynch Performance

Cumulus Media presented the winner of its “Ultimate Back-to-School Shopping Giveaway with Dustin Lynch” photo contest on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 with a shopping spree with country star Dustin Lynch at Nordstrom in Nashville’s Green Hills Mall.

The winner, a WDRQ NASH 93.1 FM listener from Detroit, was treated to a morning of shopping followed by lunch at Nordstrom in Nashville’s Green Hills Mall—all in the company of Dustin Lynch. The day culminated in tours of the BBR office in Nashville’s Music Square and the L3 office, where Lynch presented a special acoustic performance for the lucky winner.

The “Ultimate Back-to-School Shopping Giveaway with Dustin Lynch” was the second of two successful Cumulus Media promotions this fall, awarding prize packages to two Grand Prize winners. In September, the “Ultimate Back-to-School Shopping Giveaway with Shawn Mendes” was executed by Cumulus in New York City, with the winner receiving a shopping spree at Hollister on 5th Avenue with pop superstar Shawn Mendes, entry into Mendes’ sound check at Best Buy Theatre and tickets to his Island Jam concert. 


Social media platforms were used to energize Cumulus’ passionate radio station listeners. Contest entrants posted their throwback school pictures on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook under the hashtag #SchoolPhotoSelfie, or uploaded their throwback class photo to www.SchoolPhotoSelfie.com to enter the contest. An independent panel of judges reviewed and selected the grand prize-winning photo submission.
