Portland OR Radio: Cort Johnson Promoted At KINK-FM

Alpha Media Portland announced Wednesday Cort Johnson has been named Assistant Program Director and Morning Co-Host on KINK 101.9 FM. Cort will join Sheila Hamilton weekday mornings 5:30a-10a.

Originally from Utah, Cort started his radio career on his high school radio station. After attending Brigham Young University, he went to work for Citadel Broadcasting and Triple A, KENZ as well as KBER and KBEE in Salt Lake City. He first worked in the promotions department and eventually moved over to programming, as Assistant Program Director and morning show host. Cort also worked as a fill in feature reporter on the local FOX and CBS affiliate television stations in Salt Lake City. After moving to Portland, Cort worked at KBFF and News/Talk FM NEWS 101 KXL as a reporter/anchor.

Alpha Media Executive VP of Programming, Scott Mahalick commented on the announcement, “Cort will be a great addition to the KINK family.
