The long 2024 presidential election cycle comes to a close on Tuesday night, and many people will want to watch election results live. Experts say it may take days for the votes in some swing states,
notably Pennsylvania, to be tabulated, which may mean a winner is not crowned on election night—but such predictions aren’t always accurate. All the major cable and broadcast networks will cover election results beginning Tuesday evening, and they will likely run well into the early morning.
CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, NewsMax, Bloomberg TV and BBC News, all primarily news networks, will all carry live results of the election, with coverage going throughout the day.
For those who want a side of snark with their election results, Comedy Central will air a one-hour live The Daily Show Presents a Live Election Night Special With Jon Stewart: Indecision 2024: Nothing We Can Do About It Now. It will air at 11 p.m. and also be simulcast on MTV, Paramount Network, TV Land, CMT, Pop, and Logo. The special will be available on Paramount+ on Wednesday.
Where To Watch Election Results Live On Streaming
One of the biggest changes from previous elections is the introduction of Amazon Prime Video’s live election coverage, the first time a major streamer will offer an original, live production about the results on election night.
Amazon wooed a heavy hitter for the new program—former NBC News anchor Brian Williams, who stepped down in 2015 after it was revealed he’d embellished stories. He spent some time at MSNBC and then left the network three years ago. The Amazon broadcast will be free to anyone, even those who do not subscribe to the streamer.
Corporate synergy abounds on many of the other major streamers. Paramount+ will carry a live feed of the CBS News coverage. Peacock will carry a multiview (three-camera view) experience of the NBC News coverage beginning at 6 p.m. Disney+ and Hulu will carry ABC’s live feed. Max will carry the CNN live feed.
Forbes reports this year also features the first major election night special from one of the big streamers. Here is where to watch election 2024 results on election night.
