Welcome to Alice's Attic

Alice Cooper has announced his return to radio in the form of “Alice’s Attic,” a new syndicated radio program.

“Alice’s Attic” will serve as the spiritual successor to his long-running “Nights with Alice Cooper” show — which ended last year after a two-decade run — and features the same creative team. The new show will air for five hours Monday through Thursday (with reconfigured weekend blocks) via Cooper’s new syndication partner Superadio.

“To all of my insane radio minions, I’m BACK,” teased Cooper in a press release. “And if you thought 20 years of ‘Nights with Alice Cooper’ was weird, just wait until you get into ‘Alice’s Attic!’ Just think about who or what could be lurking in all these dusty old boxes. We’ve got the same team behind the new show and so you’ll find the show fairly familiar, but we’re all looking forward to getting a little more creative with introducing new elements to keep things from getting stale. Speaking of stale… what IS that smell??!””

Local radio stations throughout the US and Australia are set to begin airing the show this week, and according to Cooper’s press release, stations in Canada and the UK are expected to begin carrying the show shortly.

Following a format similar to “Nights with Alice Cooper,” the new show features a “curated mix of classic and some obscure rock, with an occasional ‘future classic’ song, plus Cooper’s stories and commentary about the music and artists he features.”

Also, Yahoo! Entertainment reports Alice Cooper also just announced a co-headlining US tour with Rob Zombie, which is set to kick off in August.
