Skydance on Monday named the executives who will run its film, television and streaming businesses, installing Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein as co-chairs of the motion picture group, George Cheeks as co-chair and chief content officer of television, and Casey Bloys as co-chair and chief content officer of direct-to-consumer streaming
The team will report to chairman and CEO David Ellison and co-CEO Ynon Kreiz, the former Mattel chief who joins the company starting Monday. The appointments cover the combined Paramount–Warner Bros. Discovery businesses, which will operate under the Skydance name, and were announced ahead of the expected close of the roughly $111 billion deal.
Goldberg and Greenstein, previously co-chairs of Paramount Pictures, will lead Skydance Motion Picture Group. Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group heads Pamela Abdy and Michael De Luca are not joining the new company. James Gunn and Peter Safran will remain co-chairmen of DC Studios.Cheeks, previously chair of TV media at Paramount Skydance, will oversee Skydance TV, including the company’s linear networks and television studios. Bloys, who has headed HBO and HBO Max, will lead Skydance DTC, adding oversight of Paramount+ and Pluto TV to the streaming portfolio. JB Perrette, formerly Warner Bros. Discovery’s CEO and president of global streaming and games, will serve as co-chair and chief business officer for both television and DTC.
Ellison will focus on long-term strategy, creative direction, talent relationships, partnerships, technology and capital allocation. Kreiz, who was also previously CEO of Endemol and was named co-CEO last week, will handle day-to-day management and integration of the combined businesses. The operating divisions will report to both.
Corporate leadership includes Andy Gordon as president, Dennis Cinelli as chief financial officer, and Makan Delrahim as chief legal officer and president of global corporate affairs. On the news side, Mark Thompson will continue to run CNN, and Bari Weiss will run CBS News.
