TV Ratings: FNC Posts Week-To-Week Growth


  • FNC Leads All of Cable in Total Day and Total Viewers for 37th Consecutive Week
  • CBS Evening News Delivers Under 4M Total Viewers, Sees Week-to-Week Decline 25-54

FOX News Channel (FNC) concluded the week of September 21st with nearly 2 million weekday primetime viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research Big Data + Panel. In Monday – Sunday primetime, FNC secured 1.7 million viewers and, markedly, posted week-to-week growth in total viewers, the 25-54 demo and the 18-49 demo. In Monday – Sunday total day, FNC drew nearly 1.1 million viewers. FNC also led all of cable in total day and total viewers for the 37th consecutive week. Notably, CBS Evening News delivered under 4 million total viewers and saw a 17% week-to-week decline in the 25-54 demo, averaging 497,000 viewers.

The Five led cable news with total viewers, landing 2.6 million viewers. During the 6 PM/ET hour, Special Report with Bret Baier averaged 2 million viewers and at 7 PM/ET, The Ingraham Angle secured nearly 1.9 million viewers. In the 8 PM/ET hour, Jesse Watters Primetime claimed 2.3 million viewers and at 9 PM/ET, Hannity saw 1.8 million viewers.

FNC’s Gutfeld! (10-11 PM/ET) continued to notch wins in late-night, averaging more than 2 million total viewers, and outranking NBC’s The Tonight Show (1.4 million viewers), NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers (844,00 viewers) and the airings of CBS’ Comics Unleashed (718,000 viewers).

FNC’s daytime programs continued to outrank broadcast competition. The Will Cain Show (4-5 PM/ET) garnered 1.5 million viewers, outpacing ABC’s GMA3 and NBC’s Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, which both posted under 1.4 million viewers. America’s Newsroom (9-11 AM/ET) and The Faulkner Focus (11 AM-12 PM/ET) each drew 1.4 million viewers, while Outnumbered (12-1 PM/ET), The Story with Martha MacCallum (3-4 PM/ET) and America Reports (1-3 PM/ET) notched 1.3 million viewers.

 

On Saturday: Saturday in America (10 AM-12 PM/ET) led the day with over 1 million viewers. FOX & Friends Weekend (6-10 AM/ET) followed in second, drawing 897,000 viewers. The Big Weekend Show (5-8 PM/ET) co-hosted by Tomi Lahren and Johnny Joey Jones, claimed 842,000 viewers. In primetime, Life, Liberty, & Levin (8-9 PM/ET) posted 874,000 viewers and My View with Lara Trump (9-10 PM/ET) secured 845,000 viewers.

On Sunday:  Sunday Morning Futures (10-11 AM/ET) delivered over 1 million viewers and The Sunday Briefing (11 AM-12 PM/ET), anchored this week by Jacqui Heinrich, garnered 964,000 viewers. FOX & Friends Weekend (6-10 AM/ET) claimed 874,00 viewers. FOX News Live (12-2 PM/ET), hosted by chief Washington correspondent Mike Emanuel, averaged 793,000 viewers, and The Big Weekend Show (5-8 PM/ET), co-hosted by Tomi Lahren and Johnny Joey Jones, notched 779,000 viewers. In primetime, Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy (9-10 PM/ET) nabbed 1 million viewers. Life, Liberty, & Levin (8-9PM/ET) drew 948,000 viewers and One Nation with Brian Kilmeade (10-11 PM/ET) landed 876,000 viewers.
