FNC Posts 25-54 Growth in Primetime, Total Day


FOX News Channel (FNC) concluded the week of August 31st with nearly 2.2 million weekday primetime viewers and 207,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo, surpassing broadcast network CBS (1.9 million viewers), according to Nielsen Media Research Big Data + Panel.

In Monday–Sunday primetime, FNC saw 1.8 million viewers and 167,000 in the 25-54 demo, posting two percent growth year-over-year. In Monday-Sunday total day, FNC saw 1.2 million viewers and 119,000 in the 25-54 demo, delivering one percent growth year-over-year and 14 percent growth week over week. 

To date (9/06/26), FNC led CBS in weekday primetime viewers for the year (12/29/25), quarter (06/29/26), and since Memorial Day (05/25/26) with 2.8 million viewers year-to-date, 2.5 million viewers quarter-to-date and 2.6 million viewers since Memorial Day while CBS has only posted 2.7 million viewers year-to-date and 2 million viewers both quarter-to-date and Memorial Day to date. FNC also outpaced ABC (2.3 million viewers) quarter-to-date.

Notably, CNN and MS NOW showed week-to-week losses across both primetime and total day viewers. In total day, CNN posted an eight percent loss in both viewers and the 25-54 demo with only 371,000 viewers and 56,000 in the 25-54 demo. MS NOW saw a 10 percent decrease in viewers (541,000 viewers) and a two percent decrease in the 25-54 demo (55,000). In primetime, CNN posted a 15 percent loss in viewers (518,000) and a 14 percent loss in the 25-54 demo (97,000) while MS NOW saw a 12 percent loss in viewers (823,000).

The Five continued to lead cable news for the week, garnering 3 million viewers and 291,000 in the 25-54 demo. In the 6 PM/ET hour, Special Report with Bret Baier claimed 2.2 million viewers and 203,000 in the 25-54 demo. During the 7 PM/ET hour, The Ingraham Angle notched over 2.1 million viewers and 181,000 in the 25-54 demo. At 8 PM/ET, Jesse Watters Primetime drew 2.7 million viewers and 241,000 in the 25-54 demo. In the 9 PM/ET hour, Hannity secured almost 2.1 million viewers and 222,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo. FNC’s late night hit Gutfeld! (10 PM/ET) clinched nearly 2.3 million viewers and 225,000 in the 25-54 demo, outperforming the airings of CBS' Comics Unleashed (715,000 viewers; 149,000 A25-54).

FNC’s daytime programs continued to lead the broadcast competition. America’s Newsroom (9AM-11AM/ET; 1.5 million viewers), The Faulkner Focus (11AM-12PM/ET; 1.5 million viewers), Outnumbered (12-1PM/ET;1.5 million viewers), America Reports (1PM-3PM/ET; 1.5 million viewers), The Story with Martha MacCallum (3-4PM/ET; 1.7 million viewers), and The Will Cain Show (4-5 PM/ET; 1.8 million viewers) all beat ABC’s GMA3 (1.3 viewers) and NBC’s Today with Jenna & Sheinelle (1.4 million viewers).

On Saturday:  Kayleigh McEnany’s Saturday in America (10AM-12PM/ET) led the day with 1.1 million viewers. FOX News Live (12-2PM/ET) with Aishah Hasnie nabbed nearly 1 million viewers and The Big Weekend Show (5-8PM/ET) co-hosted by Tomi Lahren and Johnny Joey Jones averaged 873,000 viewers. In primetime, Life, Liberty, & Levin (8-9PM/ET) delivered 855,000 viewers, My View with Lara Trump (9PM/ET) clinched 843,000 viewers and FOX News Saturday Night (10PM-11PM/ET) hosted by Jimmy Failla secured nearly 1 million viewers.

On Sunday: Sunday Morning Futures (10-11AM/ET), anchored by Jason Chaffetz, led the weekend with nearly 1.3 million viewers. The Sunday Briefing (11AM-12PM/ET), anchored this week by Peter Doocy, garnered nearly 1.2 million viewers. FOX News Live (12-2PM/ET), anchored by correspondent Kevin Corke, averaged 927,000 viewers and The Big Weekend Show (5-8PM/ET) saw nearly 1 million viewers. In primetime, Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy (9 PM/ET) led the night with 1.1 million viewers while Life, Liberty, & Levin (8-9PM/ET) clinched nearly 1 million viewers and One Nation with Brian Kilmeade (10PM/ET) notched 903,000 viewers.
