The hosts of "The Breakfast Club" radio show and podcast have defended rapper Snoop Dogg after he expressed discomfort with LGBTQ+ characters in children's movies.
During an appearance on Sarah Fontenot’s podcast “It’s Giving,” Snoop recounted taking his grandson to see Pixar’s “Lightyear,” which includes a same-sex couple.
He described being caught off guard when his grandson asked how the couple had a child, leaving him unprepared to respond during a kids’ movie.

Defending Snoop, "The Breakfast Club" co-host Jess Hilarious said she wouldn’t address such questions during a movie but would later explain to her child, “We know two women or two men can’t make a baby, but things are different now.”
Co-host DJ Envy argued that cartoons shouldn’t force parents into complex discussions about relationships, whether same-sex or heterosexual, especially with young children. “I don’t want to explain this to my 3-, 6-, or 8-year-old... I want my kid to just enjoy movies and be a kid,” he said, adding he’d avoid films with such themes.
Co-host Charlamagne tha God also supported Snoop, admitting he wouldn’t know how to answer similar questions either. “I’m just trying to watch a movie. I don’t want to be Googling surrogacy or adoption to explain to my kid during a children’s film,” he said.
