650 AM WSM in Nashville, known as the home of the Grand Ole Opry, launched a 24/7 streaming channel Monday called Legends of Country Radio to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Country Radio Hall of Fame (CRHOF).
The channel, available on WSM’s digital platforms, honors influential country radio voices and features a mix of classic country music, rare archived audio, and stories from CRHOF inductees.
Programming includes replays of Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40, Bob Kingsley Specials, Coffee, Country & Cody hosted by Bill Cody, and New Music Nashville with Bob Guerra.
The launch coincided with the CRHOF’s annual induction ceremony, hosted by Bill Cody, and featured a three-night “Bob Kingsley Presents” songwriter series at the Bluebird Cafe, honoring Lon Helton, Nan and Bob Kingsley, and RJ Curtis.
WSM General Manager Eric Marcum emphasized the channel’s role in preserving country radio’s legacy, stating, “It’s more than nostalgia; it’s about preserving the spirit of country radio for generations to come.”
