TV Ratings: Fox Sees Gains Across The Board


During the week of June 2-8, FOX News Channel (FNC) averaged 2.8 million viewers in weekday primetime leading broadcast networks including NBC (2.3 million viewers) and CBS (2.1 million viewers). In Monday - Sunday total day (6 AM-6 AM/ET), FNC posted 1.5 million viewers and 177,000 in the 25-54 demo leading all of cable. In Monday-Sunday primetime (8-11 PM/ET), FNC averaged 2.4 million viewers and 256,000 in the 25-54 demo. Week-over-week, FNC saw gains across the board and secured 96 of the top 100 cable news telecasts during the week.


For the week, The Five averaged 3.4 million viewers and 347,000 in the 25-54 demo, leading cable news in all categories. 

  • At 6 PM/ET, Special Report with Bret Baier drew 2.5 million viewers and 275,000 in the 25-54 demo. The Ingraham Angle saw 2.4 million viewers and 272,000 in the 25-54 demo at 7 PM/ET. 
  • At 8 PM/ET, Jesse Watters Primetime delivered 3 million viewers and 330,000 in the 25-54 demo. 
  • At 9 PM/ET, Hannity posted 2.6 million viewers and 281,000 with A25-54. 
  • At 11 PM/ET, FOX News @ Night secured 1.4 million viewers and 194,000 in the 25-54 demo. 

Notably, The Five surpassed ABC’s Jeopardy! Masters (3.4 million viewers) and NBC’s American Ninja Warrior (2.7 million viewers) with viewers. Additionally, The Five, Jesse Watters Primetime, Gutfeld!, Hannity, Special Report and The Ingraham Angle all surpassed TNT’s airings of The Stanley Cup Finals (2.1 million viewers) during the week.

At 10 PM/ET, FNC’s late-night offering Gutfeld! secured 2.8 million viewers and 304,000 with A25-54. Gutfeld! once again topped the broadcast competition with viewers including CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (1.7 million viewers) ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1.6 million viewers) and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (1 million viewers). 


FNC continued to see its daytime programs outpace the broadcast competition. The Will Cain Show (weekdays, 4 PM/ET; 1,837,000 viewers), Outnumbered (weekdays, 12 PM/ET; 1,781,000 viewers) and America’s Newsroom (weekdays, 9-11 AM/ET; 1,729,000 viewers) all led NBC’s Today Third Hour (1,694,000 viewers). 

Harris Faulkner’s The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11 AM/ET; 1,657,000 viewers), America Reports (weekdays, 1-3 PM/ET; 1,590,000 viewers) and The Story (weekdays, 3 PM/ET; 1,473,000) viewers all surpassed ABC’s GMA3 (1,253,000 viewers), NBC’s Today with Jenna & Friends (1,106,00 viewers) and NBC News Daily (1,092,000 viewers) with viewers. 

On Saturday: The Big Weekend Show (weekends, 6-8 PM/ET) drew 1.2 million viewers and 120,000 in the 25-54 demo. FOX & Friends Weekend (weekends, 6-10 AM/ET) delivered over 1.2 million viewers and 143,000 in the 25-54 demo. At 8 PM/ET, Life, Liberty & Levin commanded 1.1 million viewers.

On Sunday: Trey Gowdy’s Sunday Night in America (Sunday, 9 PM/ET) was the top show of the day with over 1.7 million viewers. The Big Weekend Show led the way in the 25-54 demo for the entire weekend with 231,000 viewers. At 11 AM/ET, Sunday Morning Futures commanded 1.6 million viewers and 180,000 in the 25-54 demo.

📺BRODCAST EVENING NEWS

“World News Tonight with David Muir” stood as the No. 1 program of the week in Total Viewers (6.997 million) on all of broadcast and cable (excluding sports) during the week of June 2, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.“World News Tonight” ranked as the No. 1 newscast across broadcast and cable in Total Viewers (6.997 million), Adults 25-54 (907,000) and Adults 18-49 (597,000).

  • “World News Tonight” ranked as the No. 1 telecast of the day on Monday (7.284 million), Tuesday (7.078 million), Wednesday (7.194 million) and Friday (6.432 million).
  • “World News Tonight” outperformed “NBC Nightly News” (5.449 million, 771,000 and 524,000, respectively) by 1.548 million Total Viewers, by 136,000 Adults 25-54 and by 73,000 Adults 18-49.
  • “World News Tonight” improved on the previous week in Adults 25-54 (+3%/+23,000 – 907,000 vs. 884,000) and Adults 18-49 (+1%/+5,000 – 597,000 vs. 592,000).
  • “World News Tonight” widened its lead week to week over “NBC Nightly News” in Total Viewers (+17% – 1.548 million vs. 1.322 million), Adults 25-54 (+157% – 136,000 vs. 53,000) and Adults 18-49 (+9% – 73,000 vs. 67,000). “World News Tonight” turned in its largest Total Viewer and Adults 25-54 lead over NBC in 4 weeks – since w/o 5/5/25).


  • For the 13th consecutive week, “World News Tonight” increased its lead over “CBS Evening News” year to year in Total Viewers (+12% – 3.094 million vs. 2.773 million), Adults 25-54 (+15% – 389,000 vs. 339,000) and Adults 18-49 (+6% – 211,000 vs. 199,000).

NBC Nightly News anchored by Tom Llamas is off to a nice start:
  • Nightly News delivers the best year-over-year audience retention than any other evening newscast, holding steady in total viewers and A25-54 and growing in A18-49, the only evening newscast to do so 
  • Nightly News closes across-the-board gaps vs. ABC in all measurements vs. last year 
  • Nightly News (M-F) is the #3 most-watched show of the week with 5.449 million total viewers and Sunday’s Nightly News is the #2 most-watched show of the week with 5.685 million total viewers (LS, excluding specials, sports & syndication)

📺BROADCAST MORNING NEWS:


“Good Morning America” ranked as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (2.600 million) during the week of June 2, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” beat NBC’s “Today” (2.441 million) by 159,000 to take the top spot for the 14th week in a row.“GMA” more than doubled its lead over “Today” week to week (+124% – 159,000 vs. 71,000) to its largest in 7 weeks – since w/o 4/14/25. In addition, “GMA” widened its year-to-year margin by 21% (+159,000 vs. 131,000).
  • “GMA” cut its gap with “Today” versus the previous week in Adults 25-54 (-14% – 65,000 vs. 76,000) and Adults 18-49 (-52% – 10,000 vs. 21,000) to post its closest performance of the season in both key Adult measures. 
  • In addition, “GMA” saw in its narrowest delivery in over 10 months in Adults 25-54 and closest in nearly 2 years in Adults 18-49 — since weeks of 7/15/24 and 8/7/23, respectively.
