FCC Seeks Comments On Proposed Regulatory Fees

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is seeking public input on its proposed regulatory fees for fiscal year 2025, totaling $390,192,000, as mandated by Congress.

The fees for broadcasters to fund the Media Bureau would rise slightly to $51,286,000 from $51,193,000 in FY 2024, a modest 0.018% increase.

Appendix F of the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) outlines fees for individual TV stations nationwide. Separately, the FCC proposed a $416.1 million budget for FY 2026, a 6.6% increase from FY 2025, pending Congressional approval.

The NPRM, including fee calculations, is available here.
