Cox Media Group's Y100 in San Antonio has postponed the debut of its new radio show, Erik & Jenny, originally slated for Monday, due to a family emergency involving host Erik.
The station announced on Facebook that Erik’s six-year-old son, Ford, was rushed to the emergency room on Saturday night and remains hospitalized in serious condition. The show’s launch is delayed until Ford recovers, as Erik prioritizes being with his son, wife, and daughter. Y100 requested prayers for Erik’s family as doctors work to diagnose and treat Ford’s illness.
Erik shared his own update on social media, expressing excitement for the show but explaining his absence due to spending the last 48 hours at Texas Children’s Hospital. He described Ford’s undiagnosed illness, noting that while doctors have ruled out several possibilities, they lack a precise diagnosis. Erik expressed both heartbreak and pride in his son’s resilience, emphasizing efforts to help Ford recover.
