Melissa Forrest has exited her role as Vice President/Market Manager for Cumulus Media Atlanta, as announced on Tuesday.
Forrest joined Cumulus Atlanta in September 2023, succeeding Sean Shannon.
She brought extensive experience from her previous positions, including a decade as Market President for iHeartMedia in San Diego (2012–2022) and an earlier stint as Market Manager for iHeartMedia/Clear Channel in Atlanta from 2008 to 2012.
Prior to that, she served as VP/Market Manager for Entercom Communications in Austin and Seattle from 2004 to 2008.
Her departure marks the end of a brief tenure at Cumulus, where she oversaw a cluster of four stations: CHR “Q99.7” (WWWQ), Classic Alternative “99X” (WNNX), “New Country 101.5” (WKHX), and Classic Hip Hop “OG 97.9” (W250BC).
No specific reason for Forrest’s exit was provided in the announcement.
