Shannon Sharpe and his attorney have disclosed the identity of the former girlfriend accusing him of rape in a Nevada lawsuit, along with explicit text messages she allegedly sent to the Pro Football Hall of Famer.

One message, purportedly from Sharpe’s accuser, a woman in her 20s, read, “I want you to put a dog collar around my neck and choke me with it while you’re f*ing me.” Another allegedly stated, “I know you miss this big juicy a,” adding, “$25k for each cheek.”

The 56-year-old Sharpe vehemently denies the rape allegations and asserts that the plaintiff, named Jane Doe in her lawsuit, is seeking a substantial financial payout. Sharpe has filed a counterclaim to challenge her accusations.

Sharpe’s attorney, Lanny J. Davis, further alleges that the plaintiff secretly recorded a consensual sexual encounter, intending to manipulate and misrepresent the footage to bolster her case against the ESPN personality and podcaster.

“This lawsuit, initiated by [Jane Doe] and driven by her attorney Tony Buzbee, is a shameless and calculated attempt to extort millions from Mr. Sharpe,” Davis stated. “It is riddled with falsehoods, distortions, and misrepresentations, and it will not prevail. In her pursuit of a large settlement, [Jane Doe] provided Mr. Sharpe with a covertly recorded video of a consensual sexual encounter. We believe this video has been heavily edited and stripped of context to falsely depict a consensual act as non-consensual. [Jane Doe] has refused to share the complete, unedited recording with Mr. Sharpe’s legal team.”

Jane Doe alleges that Sharpe raped her in 2024 and 2025.
