Jen Psaki Admits MSNBC's Anti-Trump Bias

Jen Psaki, a former White House Press Secretary under President Joe Biden and current MSNBC host, made a candid statement during an episode of The Grill Room podcast with Puck’s media reporter Dylan Byers. She acknowledged that MSNBC’s liberal-leaning audience primarily tunes in for coverage of President Donald Trump that is “typically not going to be positive.”

The admission sparked significant attention, as it highlighted the network’s perceived bias and its alignment with viewer expectations.

Psaki’s comment came during a broader conversation about MSNBC’s programming and audience dynamics. She noted, “And, we’re also going to talk about Trump, and it’s typically not going to be positive. I don’t think anybody watching expects it to be positive, right? There’s not like a North Star thing written on a card, and everybody does it slightly differently but I think that’s fairly the vibe.”

Psaki suggested that MSNBC’s viewers, who lean liberal, expect critical coverage of Trump, aligning with the network’s editorial tone. This reflects a broader trend in cable news where networks cater to specific ideological audiences.

The statement coincided with MSNBC’s programming overhaul under new president Rebecca Kutler, who Psaki described as a “big advocate” for her show. Psaki’s own program, Inside with Jen Psaki, was recently moved to a primetime slot (Tuesday through Friday at 9 p.m. EST), indicating her growing role at the network.

  1. Which means that you are not a legitimate “news” outlet - you are just a mouthpiece for the left.
