Fox News Also Demolishing Competition On YouTube

Fox News has established a strong lead over its competitors in cable ratings, and this dominance extends to YouTube as well.

The network has long maintained a significant following on YouTube, with nearly 13 million subscribers. However, following President Donald Trump's election, Fox News has seen a substantial increase in viewership, widening the gap with other news channels.

Mediaite reports data from Emplifi shows that Fox News had its second-best month ever on YouTube in January, only outdone by November's figures. This marks the third month in a row that Fox has led the news category on the platform.

Fox News significantly outperformed its closest competitor, NBC News, by over 200 million views, and also surpassed CNN, MSNBC, and other networks. Specifically, MSNBC garnered around 153 million views, ABC secured 140 million, CNN obtained 137 million, and CBS managed about 62 million views.

This period of success for Fox comes at a time when many media companies are finding it challenging to adapt to the changing landscape of news consumption and return to profitability.

According to Nielsen Media Research, in December, Fox News captured over half of the primetime cable news audience. The network ended the year with an average of 2.4 million viewers in primetime, marking a more than 30% increase from the previous year. Furthermore, since the presidential election, every one of the top 500 cable news shows has been broadcast by Fox News.
