Greg Olsen Exits FOX NFL Broadcast Role

Greg Olsen called his final game as part of FOX's No. 1 NFL broadcast team when the San Francisco 49ers took on the Detroit Lions at the NFC Championship Game on Sunday. Olsen, often known as a more neutral commentator among fans, will be replaced by Tom Brady, who will be in the first year of a 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX.

The former Pro Bowl tight end has enamored himself with fans with how he has been able to call games, seemingly as neutral as a commentator can be in his three years as a member of FOX's NFL broadcasting crew. During his tenure with the No. 1 team, alongside Kevin Burkhardt, Olsen helped call the NFL's most-watched Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Super Bowl LVII set a new record, with over 115 million viewers tuning in to FOX to watch the two titans clash in the biggest game of the year. What's more, Olsen was a part of the broadcasting crew that set the record for the most-watched regular-season game.

FOX's broadcast of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants on Thanksgiving 2022 drew an estimated 42 million viewers. Because of his ability to properly call the action, Olsen won an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Personality - Emerging On-Air Talent."
