Denver Radio: KQMT Radiothon Benefits Military Heroes

Audacy raised over $52,000 for Project Sanctuary during 99.5 The Mountain’s (KQMT-FM) “Project Sanctuary – Helping Heroes Heal Radiothon™” in Denver. The amount donated during the 6th annual radiothon brought the overall fundraising total to over $300,000 since 2018.

“I’m so incredibly proud of the Mountain team and our loyal listeners coming together to help our veterans and their families with Project Sanctuary,” said Dan Hardee, Regional Brand Manager, 99.5 The Mountain. “This radiothon further demonstrates the immense power of our medium with raising much-needed funds for important causes in our communities.”

99.5 The Mountain’s “Project Sanctuary Radiothon™” was broadcast live Friday, November 10, the day before Veterans Day. Throughout the one-day event, programming featured interviews with comedian Brad Williams, servicemembers and veterans and their families, and organization volunteers and counselors, who shared stories of hope, healing and navigating through the family impact of service to our country.

Heather Ehle founded Project Sanctuary in 2007 while working as a registered nurse after discovering no organization was helping the military family as a unit. Ehle founded the organization on the principle that when one person serves, the whole family serves, and the best way to support the troops was to create an organization supporting the entire family. What began as one retreat boot-strapped together in the mountains of Colorado has since grown into a national organization serving thousands of at-risk military families nationwide. Project Sanctuary has served more than 7,200 military families through therapeutic retreats.

99.5 The Mountain’s “Project Sanctuary Radiothon™” is a part of Audacy’s commitment to making a meaningful difference at scale. Audacy uses its reach and personal connection with listeners to advance causes that promote strong mental health and build sound communities.

📻Listeners can tune in to 99.5 The Mountain (KQMT-FM) in Denver on air and nationwide on the Audacy app and website. Fans can also connect with the station via X, Facebook and Instagram.
