Riverside CA Radio: Heather Froglear Promoted to KFRG Brand Manager

Audacy elevates Heather Froglear to Brand Manager of K-FROG (KFRG-FM / KXFG-FM) in Riverside. Froglear, who will continue in her role as Music Director of the station, will now oversee content strategy, talent, operations and branding for the station.

“Heather Froglear has been a champion of the K-FROG brand for three decades, and I couldn’t think of anyone more fitting to lead this station forward,” said Michael Valenzuela, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Riverside. “Despite her years of service to this community, she still remains as one of the most active and engaging personalities in both Southern California and in country radio, and I’m thrilled to elevate her to this next chapter of her career.”

“For nearly 30 years, I've been blessed to work and create great radio at KFRG,” said Froglear. “It's time to put my poms pons down and assume the role of coach for an iconic, heritage brand and a station I so dearly love and believe in. For that I could not be more thrilled. I am truly grateful for both Tim Roberts and Michael Valenzuela's trust in me.”

For close to 30 years, Froglear has been entertaining the Southern California market weekday mornings. In addition, she is also the afternoon drive host for Seattle sister station 100.7 The Wolf Seattle (KKWF-FM), and host of Audacy’s syndicated show “90’s Country with Heather.”

A recent 2021 Inductee into the Country Radio Hall of Fame, Froglear continues her journey of giving back, both on air and in the community. She has produced the “K-Froggers for Kids Radiothon” for the last 21 years, raising over $7 million dollars for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, of which her daughter received life-saving open heart surgery.

Froglear sits on the Board of Directors for Loma Linda Children’s Hospital. She has been voted the Inland Empire’s Best Local Radio Personality from 2018 – 2022 by readers of The Press-Enterprise. She is a champion for women in country radio and women in country music, serving as both a mentor and cheerleader for Audacy’s annual “Leading Ladies” initiative, and the creation of the Ladies Mentoring Breakfast at Country Radio Seminar. In 2022, she received the distinguished Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award for her efforts at Country Radio Seminar.

📻Listeners can tune in to K-FROG (KFRG-FM / KXFG-FM) in Riverside on air and nationwide on the Audacy app and website. Fans can also connect with the station on social media via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
