CBS' Nashville NY's Eve Bash Host Named


Expanding upon a year where he co-hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards, emerging country star Jimmie Allen will join "Drunk" vocalist Elle King plus Nashville native and Entertainment Tonight correspondent Rachel Smith as co-hosts of CBS' New Year's Eve: Nashville's Big Bash event on December 31.

The Tennessean reports the celebration will air live on Friday, Dec. 31 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT and 10:30 PM-1:30 a.m. ET/PT on CBS, plus stream live and on-demand via Paramount+.

“When I got the call to host New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, I was super excited and started looking forward to it right then. I was part of the show last year as a performer, so being able to co-host it this year with Elle King and Rachel Smith and see all the great performances that are lined up – it’s going to be awesome," Allen noted via a press release. . "Nashville has been so amazing and welcoming to me this year and I can’t wait to see what next year brings. I am so excited to be hosting the festivities live from Music City," added King.


longside announced performers Brooks & Dunn, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town and Zac Brown Band a total of over 50 performances -- from locations throughout Nashville, including a mainstage in Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. -- will highlight the five-hour, multiple time zone broadcast, culminating in traditional countdowns nationwide -- including a conclusion featuring the Nashville music note drop and fireworks at midnight, Central Time.
