Piers Morgan says he has no regrets about the comments he made following Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, telling reporters outside his home in London Wednesday that he still doesn’t believe anything Markle said and “if people want to believe Meghan Markle, that’s entirely their right.”
Forbes reports Morgan, whose tenure as co-host of ITV’s Good Morning Britain ended yesterday, said “I think the damage (Markle has) done to the British monarchy and to the Queen at a time when Prince Philip is lying in hospital is enormous and frankly contemptible. If I have to fall on my sword for expressing an honestly held opinion about Meghan Markle and that diatribe of bilge that she came out with in that interview, so be it."
Morgan said he met with ITV bosses Tuesday and “agreed to disagree,” but vowed he would be back. "I think it's fair to say, although the woke crowd will think that they've cancelled me, I think they will be rather disappointed when I re-emerge."

On Good Morning Britain Wednesday, Morgan’s former co-host, Susanna Reid, announced his departure.
Meanwhile, Markle’s representatives lodged a formal complaint with ITV over Morgan’s remarks about her mental health revelations, according to reports by the Telegraph and Variety.
There were numerous complaints lodged against Morgan and ITV on Monday after Markle’s and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey aired. British media regulation organization Ofcom released a statement Tuesday saying, “We have launched an investigation into Monday’s episode of ‘Good Morning Britain’ under our harm and offence rules. As of 14:00 on Tuesday 9 March, we have received 41,015 complaints about the programme.”
