Bloomberg Business of Sports Launches
Key Networks, a next generation syndication company serving the radio industry, and Bloomberg Radio, the leading provider of radio business news in the U.S., announce that sports business show Bloomberg Business of Sports will air on over 100 SportsMap Radio stations across the U.S., debuting across the SportsMap Radio affiliate network beginning today. Bloomberg Business of Sports will air on SportsMap stations in all dayparts Monday through Friday and throughout the weekend.
Bloomberg Business of Sports, hosted by Michael Barr, takes listeners inside the business end of the sports world and explains what it means to fans and their pocketbooks. The show follows the money in the world of sports and the decisions that power the multi-billion dollar industry. From media and technology to finance and real estate, leagues and teams across the globe have matured into far more than just back-page entertainment. The show reports on sports trades, salaries, endorsements, contracts, collective bargaining and more – all from an insider’s perspective, and explains the money behind the final score.
David Gow, Chief Executive Officer, Gow Media and SportsMap Radio, commented: "We are excited to collaborate with Bloomberg, an iconic business media organization. We think our affiliates and listeners will enjoy hearing the daily Bloomberg Business of Sports. This move reflects our commitment to providing great content, whether our own or through partnerships."
"We are pleased to be able to expand the audience for Bloomberg Business of Sports. The show is part of our premiere global business programming and we look forward to bringing it to even more listeners across the country," said Al Mayers, Bloomberg’s Global Head of Television and Radio.
Dennis Green, Chief Revenue Officer, Key Networks, noted: “In today’s world, sports and business align more than ever. There is no brand better equipped than Bloomberg to report on the news and events that impact the business side of sports. We are delighted to bring this content to the SportsMap network and their affiliates around the country.”
Launched in 2020, SportsMap Radio is the newest national sports radio network. SportsMap Radio provides a comprehensive sports talk platform that connects listeners to their favorite content no matter where or how they listen. Based in Houston, Texas, SportsMap Radio is owned and operated by Gow Broadcasting LLC, a Gow Media company.
