Philly Radio: WIP-FM To Again Cover 76ers
Entercom announces SportsRadio WIP 94.1 FM will provide special coverage of the Philadelphia 76ers for the upcoming 2020-21 season.
The station’s ‘Voice Of The Fan’ coverage, which was launched for 76ers coverage in 2017, capitalizes on the analysis and commentary from the leaders in Philadelphia covering the team, and gives ample opportunity for listeners to participate in the discussion.
“The Sixers made smart moves this past offseason in overhauling their front office, coaching staff, and roster,” said Spike Eskin, Brand Manager, SportsRadio 94WIP. “With the team’s new leaders and direction, we’re excited that we’ve got the best collection of talent in Philadelphia to talk about the team, and the best opportunity for Sixers fans to discuss the 76ers.”
SportsRadio 94WIP’s coverage of the team will include “Trust The Pregame,” a pregame show prior to the start of every game. Led by station evening show host Joe Giglio, the show will take an engaging, unbiased, and interactive look at the night’s game. Following the conclusion of each game, the station will air “Trust The Process” postgame show. The programs, both launching December 22, are the only Sixers pregame and postgame shows that will take listener phone calls and immediate reaction.
The station will continue airing “Rights To Ricky Sanchez Radio,” a one-hour show named after the popular podcast. Launching January 6, the show will be hosted by Joe Giglio and feature Eskin, as well as Rights to Ricky Sanchez writers Adam Aaronson and Mike O’Connor.
The station also announces a collection of contributors for the upcoming season. Mike O’Connor, Adam Aaronson, and SportsRadio 94WIP’s Jon Johnson and Billy King will serve as exclusive contributors to the station. Derek Bodner of The Athletic, Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, and Kyle Neubeck of Philly Voice will also contribute.
