CBS News Radio Adds 148 New Affiliates
CBS Audio has signed affiliation deals with 148 additional stations to the CBS News Radio lineup in the past six weeks, it was announced today by Craig Swagler, Vice President and General Manager of CBS News Radio. With these new agreements, CBS News Radio’s high-quality journalism can now be heard on more than 700 stations around the country and on SiriusXM’s P.O.T.U.S. channel 124.
The new station agreements will expand the reach of CBS Audio programming to news/talk stations owned by Cumulus Media and music stations owned by Neuhoff, 7 Mountains Media, Big Radio, Summit Media and others. Atlanta’s WSB-AM is among the stations being added, which marks a return for the station to the CBS News Radio lineup.
“Now, more than ever, listeners are demanding the kind of trustworthy, credible reporting provided around the clock by CBS News Radio journalists,” Swagler said. “We’re delighted to welcome these new affiliates to the CBS Audio family. Our award-winning content is unsurpassed with CBS garnering more Edward R. Murrow Awards than any other commercial radio network. We look forward to supplying high-quality journalism to our affiliates.”
CBS News Radio provides news, talk, information and special events coverage to more than 700 stations in the United States, with affiliates in 24 of the top 25 markets. CBS News Radio is also heard hourly on the SiriusXM Platform on P.O.T.U.S. (Channel 124.) CBS News Radio is home to the “CBS World News Roundup,” the nation’s longest-running news program, which began in 1938. In addition to providing breaking news and information, the division also provides simulcasts of the CBS EVENING NEWS, FACE THE NATION and 60 MINUTES to affiliates.
