Atlanta Radio: iHM Moves Spanish CHR To WRDA

iHeartMedia Atlanta announced Monday that Z105.3, Tu Estación Para Super Hits, is moving to WRDA 105.7 FM, effective immediately.

The move will allow a larger audience to enjoy The Spanish Contemporary format. The station is also currently simulcasting on Z105.3.

Z105.7 will broadcast popular Spanish Contemporary Hit Radio songs from top artists including Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Ozuna, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Karol G, Romeo Santos, Marc Anthony and more. Listeners can also tune in to hear their favorite top-rated on-air personalities such as Enrique Santos, Jessi Dee and more.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to move the signal where more of the Hispanic audience can enjoy the music, information and the top-rated ‘Tu Mañana Con Enrique Santos’ show,” said Meg Stevens, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Atlanta.

According Rodney Ho at ajc.com, Alt 105.7 played its final record Sunday night “Novacaine” by The Unlikely Candidates after seven years on air. At midnight, Z105.3’s “Fantasia” by Ozuna then began airing on 105.7.

Meg Stevens, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Atlanta, in a press release said the station had “moved” to 105.7, which implies this simulcast may not be permanent and a new format may eventually pop up on 105.3.
