Job Lay-Offs Seem To Be Everywhere

BBC Radio 4 Today program editor Sarah Sands has submitted her resignation, it has emerged hours after the broadcaster announced 450 job cuts, The Telegraph reports.

Sands confirmed her departure on Twitter:



Sands's resignation is the latest in a period of instability for the BBC.

The broadcaster has announced it was scrapping hundreds of jobs under new plans to "modernise"  and respond to changing "audience needs".

BBC News has to save $100M+ as part of financial pressures on the corporation.
