Entercom's K-FROG's raised $303,507 to aid the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, CA during K-FROG’s (KFRG-FM/KXFG-FM), the Inland Empire’s only country station, 19th annual “Stater Bros. Charities K-FROGGERS 4 Kids Radiothon.”

Proceeds from the event continue to grow via online donations and all contributions will benefit pediatric cancer patients.

“Year after year, our listeners step up to help the kids and families at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital,” said Michael Valenzuela, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Riverside. “I am proud of our station’s efforts to work with the hospital to fight against pediatric cancer in our community. Both my son and K-FROG’s on-air host Heather’s daughter have been treated at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and it is an honor to be able to give back to an institution that means so much to our families.”

“Stater Bros. Charities K-FROGGERS 4 Kids Radiothon” was broadcast live from Bass Pro Shops at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, CA on Wednesday, December 4. Listeners donated through the station’s phone bank and website. The 15-hour radiothon featured heartfelt testimonies from current patients and families impacted by cancer, as well as uplifting messages from K-FROG on-air hosts David Bugenske, Ginny Harman, Heather Froglear, Anthony Donatelli, Vicki Pepper, and Dana Swearingen. Programming also included a surprise appearance by pediatric cancer survivor Aubrey Gaines, who the station previously interviewed during the 2013 radiothon while she was battling the disease.

Over the past 19 years, K-FROG has raised $6.7 million in partnership with Stater Bros. Charities for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital with the funds being used for improvements to rooms, including beds, televisions, sleeper chairs for parents, and more.
