This year’s event, supported by Entercom Pittsburgh stations HotAC WBZZ 100.7 Star, Sports KDKA 93.7 FM The Fan, News Radio KDKA 1020 AM and Y108 WDSY Y108 FM will feature all new elements, including a light show choreographed to music and a fireworks display. The event will take place on Friday, November 22 at Point State Park in Pittsburgh, PA.
“‘Santa Spectacular’ is a Pittsburgh tradition for families to kick off the holiday season and we are excited to bring a brand-new display of lights and music to downtown this year,” said Michael Spacciapolli, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Pittsburgh. “We look forward to giving families an amazing experience to kick off the holidays again this year.”
The event kicks off with the “Santa Spectacular Village” opening at 6:00 p.m., featuring Santa Claus, music and holiday festivities. A festive light show will be displayed on the Wyndham Grand throughout the evening set to a holiday-themed soundtrack. “The Dollar Bank Fireworks Show” will begin at 7:45 p.m. In addition, the first 500 children that visit with Santa Claus will get a gift courtesy of Dorothy’s Candies.
100.7 Star and Y108 will broadcast their afternoon shows live from the event, as well as provide the soundtrack to the fireworks live during the performance.
Other presenting sponsors of “Santa Spectacular” include Hefren Tillotson, S.W. Randall Toyes and Giftes, The Salvation Army and Oakmont Bakery.
