Carrie Underwood Gets Emotional During Ty Bentli Show

CUMULUS MEDIA’s helped launch toward the Biggest Night in Country music with CMA Awards host Carrie Underwood stopping by to be a guest host on its internationally-syndicated The Ty Bentli Show morning show. There was one moment in the packed broadcast that left everyone speechless and emotional… including Carrie Underwood herself.

As Carrie talked about the experiencing of having her family join her on the road for the Cry Pretty 360 Tour, Ty decided to share a clip of Miranda Lambert acknowledging all the reasons that Carrie deserves to be recognized with the 2019 CMA for Entertainer of the Year prize.


As Carrie listened to Miranda’s perceptive reasoning, the singer became visibly emotional and responded with words that were insightful, gracious, and supportive of her fellow women in country music.  Carrie’s response was quickly shared by Fox News, People, Nash Country Daily, and NBC’s TODAY and many international outlets.

Carrie also joined Ty and the crew in daily staples like Are You Smarter Than Wicksipedia (she was), The Sweetest Thing (where Carrie shared the story of a fan who joined her on-stage during her Cry Pretty 360 Tour), and Ten Minute Tune (helping choose the topic for Nashville singer/songwriter Jenny Tolman to write about and perform).
