L-A Radio: KBUE Finds Ratings Success
LBI Media has announced that its morning drive radio show “Don Cheto Al Aire,” heard on KBUE 105.5 FM, has tied for the #1 spot among Adults 18-34 in Los Angeles total market regardless of language. 1
According to the August 2019 Nielsen Audio Ratings Report Survey in Los Angeles, Don Cheto also ranked as the #1 morning drive (M-F 6a-10a) radio show among Spanish-language radio stations in Los Angeles with Hispanic Adults 18-34, and tied for #1 with Hispanic Adults 18-49 and 25-54.
KBUE-FM also topped Midday in the Los Angeles Metro area among Spanish-language radio stations, ranking #1 M-F 10a-3p with Hispanic Men 18-34. 2
“We are committed to offering the best entertainment and radio content to our loyal listeners every hour and every day of the year. We owe our success to them and to the hard work that our team puts in every time they walk into the radio booth. With great success comes great responsibility, so we will continue striving to provide our listeners with the quality programming they deserve,” stated Pepe Garza, programming director, La Que Buena Radio (KBUE-FM).
The morning show revamped its production team and format in 2016, and added two new sidekicks: Gisselle Bravo and El Chino, as well as Said Garcia Solis, who aside from being the show’s producer, also acts as an on-air personality. These changes have contributed to the show’s steady growth in ratings and popularity. “Don Cheto Al Aire” is a family friendly radio show with universal appeal among Hispanics of all ages, genders and lifestyles. The show covers a gamut of topics that range from news headlines, current events to human interest stories, games and contests, all done in a humorous and culturally relevant format.
Don Cheto is a widely admired and hilarious Latin radio personality that brings his extensive and colorful life experience in both Mexico and the United States to millions of listeners. His rural Mexican style, heritage and language idioms keep listeners tuned in as he delivers non-stop entertainment and comic relief while tackling current events affecting the Latino community in the U.S.
