Chicago Radio: WVUR-FM Adds Syndicated Michael Baisden

Sun Broadcast Group (SBG) is proud to announce that Michael Baisden is back in his hometown of Chicago, on WVUR 95.1 FM Club Steppin.

The Michael Baisden Show is four hours of music, engaging content, daily thought-provoking conversation and is the premier destination for listeners to be entertained, inspired and educated.

Voted one of the most influential men in radio, Baisden’s voice activates real change through the show’s slogan, One World, One Mic, One Love. With the addition of Club Steppin’, Baisden continues a year of tremendous growth for his award-winning show. Michael has seen renewed excitement around the program with Detroit and Memphis joining the family earlier in the year. The Michael Baisden Show is also proud to see ratings success in several markets including Orlando where Baisden has scored the #1 spot with Women 25-54!

“Bringing The Michael Baisden Show back to Chicago delivers on a key objective of our station and that is to uplift the communications being directed to adult African-American audiences, especially in the third largest media market in the US. And so, given the opportunity to make it happen, we are proud, it is fitting and in order to bring our brother, Michael Baisden, home.” added Tracey V. Bell, President and owner of 95.1 FM Club Steppin.

Baisden added: “I am finally back in Chicago. I have some many fans here and memories to share and I can’t wait to re-engage with everybody in this iconic city. I am so glad to be back on the air with 95.1 FM”.

“We are very happy for the continuous expansion of Michael’s show into major markets such as Detroit and now Chicago. It’s going to be a great year for the show that now has over 24 affiliates nationwide. Michael Baisden is the real deal when it comes to compelling content with an entertaining delivery for his affiliate stations, his success in radio continues to be exciting!” commented Rich O’Brien, SBG VP of Programming & Affiliate Relations.
