VA Radio: Scott Paulsen On-Air At Classic Rock WWUZ

After more than three decades as one of the most popular voices on Pittsburgh radio, Scott Paulsen is the new morning host at Alpha Media Classic Rock WWUZ 96.9 FM in Bowlig Green VA. He made the announcement Tuesday on Facebook, according to patch.com.

"Just wanted to let you know that the beautiful bride and I, after 33 years in Pittsburgh, have relocated to spectacular Fredericksburg, Virginia," he said. "You can now hear me each morning on the classic rock station 96.9 The Rock."

Paulsen, 59, is best known for being the morning show host at WDVE 102.5 FM, first doing the show solo beginning in 1986 and then partnering with Pittsburgh comedian Jim Krenn in`1988. For 11 years, the duo entertained Pittsburghers with characters such as Stanley P. Kachowski, Bobby Subgum, Ralph the Cat and Buddy (down at Buddy's).

Paulsen also hosted a talk show on sports WBGG-AM, Pittsburgh. He returned to WDVE in 2002 to host the evening shift, departing in 2006 for WRKZ-FM. Paulsen returned to WDVE as an executive contributor to the morning show in 2012 before departing for a third time in 2014.
