Atlanta Radio: WUBL's Kristen Gates Recovering From Brain Surgery

Country WUBL 94.9 The Bull morning host Kristen Gates on her Facebook page announced that she had a ping-pong ball-sized tumor removed from her brain last Monday and will be out for about a month to recuperate, according to Atlanta Media Watcher Rodney Ho at to ajc.com.

Gates said she had terrible headaches for month and finally decided on Friday, March 22, to go to the emergency room and get a scan. Fortunately, the tumor was between her brain and her skull.

Gates said on Facebook Live that her family wanted to keep things quiet in case the surgery had some serious complications. So far, she expects to fully recuperate. She spent a week in the hospital. After getting home, she thanked her family and friends as well as the medical staff. “I’m on the mend,” Gates said.


The tumor was benign, she said, and it was entirely removed.Gates has been a host on 94.9/The Bull for a decade and in radio for about a quarter century.
