San Antonio Radio: David Abel To Manage CMG Cluster

Cox Media Group (CMG) has named 20-year radio veteran David Abel as VP/Market Manager of its cluster in San Antonio.

Abel most recently served as Vice President of Radio with Griffin Communications in Tulsa. Prior to that role he was VP/GM for Apex Broadcasting's radio group in Charleston-Hilton Head, SC and also helped Apex launch new digital and IT companies, where he concurrently served as COO.

David returns to CMG with a wealth of experience and leadership qualities that make him the ideal fit for this role," said Regional VP Rob Rabin. Abel has a history as a member of the CMG family, having worked as a sales manager for 11 years in Greenville, Orlando and Birmingham. Abel began his radio career in sales and sales management in the New Orleans region.
