Central NY State Radio: Galaxy Media Names COO

Galaxy Media in Syracuse NY has announced Carrie J. Wojtaszek has been named COO, a newly created position.

She's a 1-year veteran with the Central NY State company and has been GM of Galaxy Events since 2013.

Wojtaszek will be responsible for Galaxy’s eight stations in Syracuse and five in Utica-Rome, N.Y., and Galaxy’s digital division and sports marketing organization.

Galaxy president and CEO Ed Levine stated, “It’s hard to quantify the impact that Carrie has had on Galaxy. Carrie and Pam Levine have built Galaxy Events from nothing to a nationally known brand.  I’m excited to watch the impact that she will have in all of our divisions in the coming years.”

Wojtaszek’s appointment comes as Galaxy completes a nearly $10 million refinancing of the company, which was previously known as Galaxy Communications.
