NYC Radio: 77WABC to Launch Sid Sports Sunday Show

77 WABC Radio announces that it will broadcast a new weekend sports show hosted by Sid Rosenberg, Co-Host of WABC’s “Bernie and Sid in the Morning”. The new program, “Sid Sports Sunday”, will debut on WABC on September 9, 2018, from 8:00am-10:00am EST, and will be simulcast on WABCRadio.com.

Rosenberg is one of the nation’s most celebrated names in sports broadcasting. “Sid Sports Sunday” is created with the listener’s sports needs at its epicenter. From expert fantasy picks, to incredible player interviews, to live look in’s at stadiums across the country, “Sid Sports Sunday” delivers sports news and talk that listeners want to hear in an entertaining and captivating format that will make the show destination listening for sports fans in New York City and across the U.S.

Rosenberg started his radio career on “The Drive,” heard exclusively online at SportsLineUSA.com. The show eventually moved to broadcast radio, and was syndicated nationally in more than 40 markets by SportsFan and Westwood One. He also co-hosted the NFL Today pre-game show heard nationally on Westwood One for three seasons. After two years on national radio, Sid took his act to New York City, where he co-hosted “The Sports Guys,” heard mornings on legendary radio station 102.7 WNEW FM.

In 2001, Rosenberg realized his dream by landing a job at the nation’s premier sports/talk radio station, WFAN in New York City, where he hosted middays with Jody McDonald and later, with Joe Benigno. Sid also covered sports on the “Imus in the Morning” program through 2005. While at WFAN, he was the pre-game show host for the New York Giants for three seasons.

After stops in Florida, Rosenberg reunited in 2016 with his best friend Bernie McGuirk, Executive Producer of “The Imus In The Morning Show”, to host “The Bernie and Sid Show” debuting in Middays on 77 WABC. In 2018, after the retirement of the legendary Don Imus, Rosenberg became Co-Host of 77 WABC’s “Bernie and Sid In the Morning”, airing weekdays from 6-10am.
