Charlotte Radio: iHM Taps A-J To Program WHQC, WLKO

iHeartMedia announced today that A.J. has been named Program Director for Charlotte’s WHQC Channel 96.1, All the Hits, and WLKO 102.9 The Lake, We Play Anything, effective February 12.

A.J. will work with on-air personalities and sales teams to oversee the stations’ day-to-day programming, promotions and digital operations.

“Bringing A.J. to Charlotte is a game changer for the market,” said Meg Stevens, Executive Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia. “He is passionate and creative as well as analytical and strategic. He’s the perfect addition to team Charlotte.”

A 20-plus year radio veteran, A.J. most recently served as the Regional Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s St. Louis Region and day-to-day Program Director for CHR KSLZ Z107.7 and KATZ Hallelujah 1600.

He has also held various programming roles in Richmond, VA; Norfolk, VA; Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; Albany, NY; Roanoke, VA; and Wilkes-Barre, PA.
