Boston Radio: CBS Radio Signs Mike Thomas To Multi-Year Deal


  
CBS RADIO has announced it has signed veteran programmer Mike Thomas to a multi-year contract extension. Thomas will continue in his multi-platform role as Vice President of Sports Programming for CBS RADIO and Vice President of Programming for CBS RADIO Boston.

As Vice President of Sports Programming for CBS RADIO, Thomas serves as an advisor to the company’s 18 dedicated sports stations in top markets across the U.S. In Boston, in his role as Vice President of Programming, Thomas has strategic oversight of the cluster’s five stations, including WBZ-AM NewsRadio 1030, MIX 104.1 (WBMX-FM), WODS-FM 103.3, WZLX-FM 100.7 Classic Rock and 98.5 The Sports Hub (WBZ-FM). He also serves as program director of the latter two stations, a role he has held since 2009.

Thomas has nearly 20 years of top management experience as a radio program director. Before serving as program director for CBS RADIO Boston’s WZLX, WBCN and 98.5 The Sports Hub, Thomas was program director and midday on-air personality at KGB in San Diego, CA.  Prior to that, he programmed WFBQ in Indianapolis, IN, WTUE and WXEG in Dayton, Ohio and WYMG in Springfield, IL.
