Milwaukee Radio: Wes McKane OUT At WMYX
Wes McKane, who has been a morning radio personality in Milwaukee for most of the past 16 years, is out of a job.
McKane, who for the past few years co-hosted the morning show on WMYX 99.1 FM with Elizabeth Kay, said on his Facebook page Tuesday that "I am no longer with the company," referring to Entercom, the company that owns WMYX.
By late morning Tuesday, the station's page for its "Morning Mix" show online now only mentioned Kay as a host, according to the Journal-Sentinel.
Before joining WMYX, McKane was part of the morning show with Andy Riggs and Faith Alley on Entercom sister station WXSS 103.7 FM since 2004. Before that, except for a brief gig in Minneapolis, McKane had been WXSS' afternoon drive-time host.
