SiriusXM To Provide 30 Hours Of U-S Open Coverage

SiriusXM has announced it will again be the exclusive national radio broadcaster for the 117th U.S. Open Championship, offering listeners nationwide extensive coverage from Erin Hills in Wisconsin, including all four days of Championship play - June 15th through the 18th.

SiriusXM's programming will feature more than 30 hours of live hole-by-hole coverage across all four rounds of play, and will include a Monday playoff if one occurs.  Live championship coverage will begin each championship day at 12:00 pm ET on both FOX Sports on SiriusXM (SiriusXM ch. 83) and SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio (Sirius ch. 208, XM ch. 92), which are available exclusively on satellite radios, on the SiriusXM app and at SiriusXM.com.

SiriusXM's Brian Katrek will anchor the play-by-play broadcast with former PGA Tour pro Mark Carnevale serving as the analyst in the booth.  A team of roving reporters, featuring veteran broadcasters and Tour pros Fred Albers, Doug Bell, John Maginnes, Dennis Paulson and Bill Rosinski will provide commentary from around the course.  SiriusXM's Debbie Doniger will be on site conducting pre- and post-round interviews with the competitors.

The 2017 U.S. Open will be the first played at Erin Hills, a naturally designed heartland-style course.

"As the U.S. Open plays out on an exciting and unique new venue in Erin Hills, SiriusXM's exclusive radio broadcast will take listeners from around the country inside the ropes every day of the tournament," said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM's President and Chief Content Officer.

"In the days leading up to the event, our talk programming will showcase an extraordinary lineup of hosts, including a three-time U.S. Open Champion in Hale Irwin, Ben Hogan Award winner Bob Ford, and many other extraordinarily accomplished personalities.  You won't find a better week of coverage anywhere."

Throughout U.S. Open week, SiriusXM's PGA TOUR Radio channel will offer daily programming, including exclusive shows hosted by three-time U.S. Open champion Hale Irwin, major champions Mark Calcavecchia, Ben Crenshaw, Larry Mize, and Craig Stadler; current PGA TOUR pro Pat Perez; and former Tour pro Chris DiMarco.
